Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price–and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can’t pull it off alone…

A convict with a thirst for revenge.

A sharpshooter who can’t walk away from a wager.

A runaway with a privileged past.

A spy known as the Wraith.

A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums.

A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes.

Six dangerous outcasts. One impossible heist. Kaz’s crew is the only thing that might stand between the world and destruction—if they don’t kill each other first.

First of all, wow. This book kept me tense pretty much through the full length! I wanted a hell of a lot more at the ending, especially with the cliffhanger!

The best thing about this book is that despite their very different personalities, the group had some amazing moments *cough* ghosts *cough* like… 6 dangerous outcasts? Nope… 6 cinnamon rolls who deserve all my love, and all the kruge in the world. I’m ready to sink and sail with all my ships in this book! Kaz & Inej just… my heart is soft for them. Nina & Matthias? That ship sailed a long time ago! Wylan & Jesper… “I don’t know, maybe I liked your stupid face.”.. need I say anymore?

Despite the book having all 5 stars, one thing I didn’t like so much is how we didn’t really get to know all the characters… Wylan was still a bit of a mystery (although this is addressed in the next book). That’s the only bit that left me hanging slightly.

And Matthias’ character arc was perfect! It’s not easy to change opinions and ideas you grew up with, but Matthias did this and he’s not perfect, but he’s trying!

I should have a review for Crooked Kingdom up soon as I’m already halfway through despite only having finished this last night lol!

I am a Slytherin although i do have traits from all four houses (The test was 29% Slytherin, 26% Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw and 19% Gryffindor) 😂 and of course candles 😍😍😍😍 in love with them!!!! My favourite merch, other than candles, is bookmarks and book sleeves.
