So my New Years Resolution (sort of) was to have more blog posts not related to reviews… so I’m starting what I’m gonna call the Saturday Sixes! (Let me know if anyone has done this before because I probably read it somewhere, knowing me!)
Every Saturday I will do a list of random 6 things, whether it’s favourite book shops, books, anticipated releases etc. This week I’m going to start with six bookish shops that I adore beyond reason! I’ll include the link to their shops and will have a picture of an item from their shops under said store!
Let’s start this!
This is an amazing store and, honestly, such great value for money! In this picture, it’s the December Wondermail, which had 3 magnetic bookmarks, a sticker, a full print, a mini print, a double sided bookmark and an enamel pin! All this (including international shipping!!) cost me £16!! Literally the best value for money ever, since I can usually hope to grab a pin for about £8.
Need I say more with that gorgeous bookmark on display?! I love how Creative Chaotics not only picks the best quotes from books, which are usually humorous, but we always have character art to go with the quotes!! This quote is a dedication from V.E Schwab’s Shades of Magic series (all of which I’ve reviewed, so you can check out my views!) And the characters, from left to right, are Alucard, Rhy, Kell, Lila and Holland. Definitely worth checking out!!
Honestly, the only reason I’m not putting Geekyclean higher up is because I’m not a fan of all body products out there! Their candles are amazing (the colours are stunning, the labels even more so and the scents are out of this world!!) Now about the body products… I love bath bombs and I tried plenty of their house bath bombs (and got Ravenclaw all 5 times I did it… I AM A SLYTHERIN!), I’ve also tried the D20 bath bombs and honestly? I loved them!!! The smell of the bath was amazing, I could always relax fully (no side effects for me which was a plus since I tend to be super sensitive to anything on my skin half the time LOL!) Also… the colours!! Beautiful! The only items I haven’t tried are the oils and the sprays and that’s because I don’t really use them? I have a set thing I use and I’m very reluctant to change lol. If you love bath/body products (or even candles and critical role) then be sure to check out their store!!
This picture was taken in September 2017, a few weeks after my first order from BookandNook Shop… and the only thing that’s changed is that my candle collection is approximately 30x larger for this company! I have soooo many of their candles!! The scents are amazing.. but sadly they have stopped candles! However!!! They have started to introduce enamel pins (the Six of Crows design… it’s just stunning!!), bookmarks, lip balms and.. teas? I don’t want to give false information but I’m half uncertain since I’ve got so many shops introducing new things lol.
I have no pictures for this store, since I’m waiting for my order (the picture is taken from their Instagram page!)… so this is purely based on the few days I got to hold about 2 of their designs in my hands before I sent it off as a gift to a friend (I didn’t buy the magnetic bookmark…. it was sent by another friend lol) but! The character is amazing, the bookmarks have amazing shape and feel to them, AND they’re like super cheap!! I ordered well over 10 magnetic bookmarks during a sale, And including international shipping, the price came to around £8! So of course, I’m going to order more LOL!
And now for my favourite…
Don’t be surprised… you knew this was coming! I don’t think it’s a secret that I love Neelam’s designs… I mean I rave about them any chance I get on Twitter and Instagram! When I first found out about her store (about like a few months after I first talked to her properly) I ordered a few bookmarks and fell in love! Now, since, Neelam introduced soaps (which she stopped because of not having enough time to be able to make them… let’s hope they’re back up soon!!), mini prints (which are stunning, if I do say so! Like… stunning) and painted edges! Now, there’s not a single store I know of (in the UK) that paints the edges of books but Neelam does them beautifully!! I’m going to share 2 of my favourites below!!
My favourite part of both of these is how intricate the designs are! The first one is for Mirage by Somaiiya Daud and the second is a custom design that is on The Dance of Thieves by Mary E Pearson. Both of these are just gorgeous… and now I’m also going to share a picture of her soaps and mini prints lol! (Also… the painted edges pictures were stolen from her Instagram page for the shop!)
Here’s the soaps and mini print!!
And this is it for this week!! Make sure you check out these stores, And if you can’t buy anything then give them a follow, like their pictures, leave a comment and spread the word!! Every little helps! (Yes I am well aware that this is the Tesco slogan).
